Project Description

Elder Family Portraits and Aural History Project

‘Elder’ is a new family portrait and aural history project that documents the rich and diverse lives of senior Tasmanians.

To participate in Elder you need to be:
Over the age of 70
male or female
You don’t have to have an amazing story in anyway, sometimes the most beautiful tales are found in the everyday.
Together we can create a priceless heirloom for your family, and contribute to Tasmania’s cultural heritage.
When completed the project will be officially donated to the Archives office of Tasmania.
Sessions go for 2-3 hours and cost $250 + gst. Participants will receive the full unabridged audio recording of my conversation and a minimum of 5 digital images. Families will also be able to order fine art prints in a variety of sizes and mediums. Starting at $89 for an 8×10″ archival quality rag paper print.
