My 2026 wall calendar – Classic Wooden Boats of Australia – proudly presented in glorious full colour, is a pictorial tribute of my love of Australia’s incredible living wooden boats heritage, craft and culture.
This is a special D-Class Edition.
D-Class stands for the Derwent Class yachts built in Tasmania and currently experiencing a huge resurgence. The whole fleet is being restored thanks to a trust that was set up by an unnamed benefactor. The Class will be celebrating it’s 100th anniversary in 2027. I thought this milestone called for exclusive edition of my calendar to celebrate these beautiful and colourful yachts, and the equally colourful community of yachtsmen and women who race them.
